Job Purpose
The Material Handler drives forklift truck to assist in production requirements of raw materials and components. Responsible for stocking and organization of warehouse racks and yard

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Material Handler performs a range of duties including some or all the following:
Receive and deliver raw materials and components to assist in production
Keep accurate control of components in warehouse and yard
Assist in keeping production area neat, clean and orderly to contribute to efficiency
Comply with all the Standard Operating Procedures and Health & Safety Policies of the company
Maintain acceptable housekeeping standards always to ensure a clean and safe working environment for all employees
Lift up to 50 lbs.
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Education
Completion of High School or equivalent

Knowledge, skills and abilities
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Certified driver of counter balance/propane Towmotor and Raymond reach truck
Experience in handling dangerous goods
WHMIS training

Personal characteristics
Material Handler should demonstrate competence in some or all the following:
Ability to speak and read English fluently.
Basic math skills
Aptitude for mechanics
Positive Attitude
Team Player

Experience
Minimum 1 year experience using towmotors
Minimum 1 – 3 years experience in a manufacturing setting

Working Conditions
Material Handlers work in a warehouse environment
Material Handlers usually work a standard work week
